이 논문은 급속한 도시화와 포스트모던 시대 속에서 도시선교와 교회 사역의 역할을 탐구한다.

현대 사회는 전 세계 인구의 대부분이 도시에서 거주한다.

이런 상황 속에서 교회는 도시선교의 신학적 기초를 이해하고 이를 실질적으로 적용해야 할 책임이 있다.

이와 관련해, 본 논문은 성경적 맥락 속에서 도시 중심 선교의 전략적 중요성을 논의하고, 현대 도시의 다원적 문화와 사회적 도전 과제를 해결하기 위한 상황화 전략을 제시한다.

저자는 도시를 하나님의 정의, 평화, 사랑이 실현되는 종말론적 공간으로 재해석하며, 복음 전파와 사회적 책임을 통합하는 교회의 사명을 강조한다.

또한, 도시 환경에서 교회의 선교적 정체성을 회복하고 효과적으로 복음을 전달하기 위한 접근법을 제시한다. 궁극적으로 저자는 도시 선교가 하나님의 나라 실현에 필수적임을 주장한다.

Abstract

The Study of Urban Mission and Church Ministry in the Postmodern

This paper explores the role of urban mission and church ministry in the context of rapid urbanization and the postmodern era. In contemporary society, the majority of the world’s population resides in cities. Given this reality, the church has the responsibility to understand the theological foundations of urban mission and apply them practically. In this regard, this study discusses the strategic importance of city-centered mission within a biblical framework and proposes contextualization strategies to address the pluralistic culture and social challenges of modern cities. The author re interprets the city as an eschatological space where God’s justice, peace, and love are realized, emphasizing the church’s mission to integrate gospel proclamation with social responsibility. Furthermore, the paper presents approaches to restoring the mis sional identity of the church in urban settings and effectively com municating the gospel. Ultimately, the author argues that urban mission is essential for the realization of the Kingdom of God.
