폭력에 노출된 여성들에 대한 성경적 돌봄의 유형: 연대, 정의, 그리고 회복/김영선.마리아의 전교자 프란치스코회

<국문초록>

본 연구는 성경에 나타난 여성에 대한 폭력을 묘사하는 이야기들을 신학적으로 해석하고, 그 이야기들이 오늘날 폭력 피해 여성들을 위한 돌봄과 공동체적 책임에 어떠한 통찰을 제공하는지 탐구한다.

성경에는 폭력과 억압 속에서 고통받는 여성들의 이야기가 다양하게 전해지며, 이러한 이야기들은 단순한 사건의 기록을 넘어 공동체가 어떻게 피해자들을 보호하고 돌볼 수 있는지를 보여주는 신학적 자원을 제공한다.
본 논문은 구약과 신약의 여러 본문을 분석하여 폭력에 노출된 여성들을 향한 성경적 돌봄의 다섯 가지 유형을 제시한다.

  첫째, 침묵 속에 묻힌 여성들의 고통을 드러내고 그들의 목소리에 귀 기울이며, 그들의 고통을 애도하는 것이다.

  둘째, 고통받는 이들 사이의 연대와 상호 지지를 형성하는 것이다.

  셋째, 억울한 피해자를 보호하기 위한 정의로운 법적 개입과 옹호이다.

  넷째, 낙인과 단죄를 넘어 새로운 삶의 가능성을 열어 주는 것이다.

 다섯째, 치유와 회복을 통해 공동체로의 재통합을 돕는 것이다.
이러한 성경적 통찰은 폭력 피해 여성들을 위한 돌봄이 단순한 개인적 동정이나 일시적 지원에 머물지 않고, 경청과 애도, 연대와 정의, 치유와 회복을 포함하는 총체적인 과정임을 보여 준다.

또한 이는 공동체가 폭력의 피해자들과 함께 서며 그들의 존엄과 삶의 회복을 위해 책임 있게 참여해야 함을 강조한다.

본 연구는 성경의 이야기들이 오늘날 교회와 신앙 공동체가 폭력 피해 여성들을 돌보는 데 중요한 신학적 토대와 실천적 방향을 제공할 수 있음을 제시한다.

Abstract

Biblical Care for Women Exposed to Violence: Solidarity, Justice, and Restoration in Biblical Narratives

This study offers a theological interpretation of biblical narratives that depict violence against women and explores their implications for contemporary pastoral care and communal responsibility. The biblical tradition preserves numerous stories of women who suffer from violence, oppression, or social marginalization. These narratives not only reveal the reality of such suffering but also provide theological resources for understanding how communities may respond to and care for those who have been harmed.
Through a close reading of selected texts from both the Old and New Testaments, this article identifies five forms of biblical care for women exposed to violence. First, it highlights the importance of bringing to light the suffering of silenced victims and listening attentively to their voices. Second, it emphasizes solidarity and mutual support among those who suffer. Third, it examines the role of just legal intervention and advocacy in protecting victims and restoring justice. Fourth, it explores the opening of new possibilities for life beyond condemnation and social stigma. Fifth, it considers healing and the reintegration of victims into the community.
Taken together, these narratives suggest that care for women who have experienced violence must extend beyond expressions of sympathy or temporary assistance. Rather, they point to a holistic process that includes listening, lament, solidarity, justice, restoration, and communal reintegration. By articulating these five forms of care as a theological framework, this study argues that biblical narratives offer meaningful guidance for faith communities seeking to respond with sense of responsibility and compassion to women who have experienced violence.
